Aaron Austin, LPC
Background
Hi! My name is Aaron Austin. I understand the leap of vulnerability it takes in
seeking therapy and as you embark on your own journey, I would be thrilled to
be a small part of it. Offering you my expertise and support is truly a privilege.
Approach
My ideal client is one that feels a mind and body disconnect and is motivated
to learn skills to operate from a more grounded, regulated space. This along
with rational emotive therapy, mindfulness, and narrative therapy are the
primary modalities I utilize. I’m also trained in EMDR.
Individuals I see can expect to be met where they are in terms of readiness to
change. Sessions offered typically, but not always, consist of a grounding
practice, stream of consciousness journaling, and talk therapy.
Education
I have a master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Hazelden Graduate
School of Addiction Studies and an undergraduate degree in Business
Management. I hold licensure as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
and LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) in Texas and an
LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) in Minnesota.
