Jennifer

Background

Hello! My name is Jennifer, and I am a therapist currently practicing in Texas (LPC) and Ohio (LPCC). I studied at Wright State University, earning my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health in 2013. After spending time working in a community mental health setting, I decided it was time to move to private practice. Outside of work, I enjoy rock-climbing, reading, and exploring new places in the city of Austin.

Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.

My Approach

I enjoy helping people navigate a variety of life's challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and life changes. I draw from several different skillsets in order to find the best approach for you. The most common techniques I use start with CBT, DBT, and Strengths Based methods. Although we will be meeting regularly, I think it's important understand that your work continues outside of our sessions. Just think of our journey as a road trip: I may be the GPS, but you are ultimately the driver. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodivergent affirming.

Over the course of the past decade, there’s been increased willingness to recognize mental health as an essential part of one’s well-being.
