Anxiety | Childhood Trauma | Immigrant Experiences | Life Transitions | Relationship Issue | Self
Esteem | Depression | ADHD | Perfectionism | Cultural Stress
Hi, I’m Jessica. I’m an easygoing, empathic therapist who values authenticity in myself and others. In therapy, I take a collaborative approach and always welcome feedback about what is or isn’t working for you. Together, we’ll identify goals to help give our work direction, while also leaving space for whatever may come up along the way. My sessions tend to be less structured, allowing us to respond to life’s changes and focus on what feels most important to you in the moment.
I strive to get to know my clients beyond their symptoms and to understand the experiences, relationships, values, identities, and cultures that have shaped who they are. My intention is to create a space where you feel understood and comfortable showing up authentically. I use humor when appropriate to build connection and make difficult conversations feel a little easier. I’m warm and supportive, but I also don’t shy away from gently challenging you when it may help you see yourself or a situation in a new way.
There is no “correct” way to start or approach therapy. Simply showing up is a meaningful first step. I don’t see therapy as a place where someone fixes you or tells you what to do. Instead, it’s a space to better understand yourself, recognize patterns, explore new perspectives, and
use that awareness to make changes that feel right for you.

My Approach
I take a client-centered approach and draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on your needs and goals. My work incorporates EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based skills and strategies.
My Background
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a BA in Psychology and an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology. I have experience working in community counseling, school-based therapy, and private practice.
I became a therapist because I wanted to help make mental health and emotional well-being a priority, particularly after growing up in a community where these topics were often ignored or stigmatized. That experience continues to shape the importance I place on creating a space
where clients can talk openly about their experiences without judgment.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy crafting, playing guitar and ukulele, listening to music, traveling, and a good cup of coffee. I also love spending time with my family, friends, and pets.
